Ara Mooradian age 15 (St. Theresa's) and Talin Mooradian age 13 (Mundy's Bay) were awarded the Provincial 2012 Leading Girls Building Communities Recognition for exceptional leadership in working to improve the lives of others in their community by the Minister Responsible for Women's Issues, Laurel Broten.

The recipients are chosen from nominations put forth from local organizations through our Local MPP's Office , Garfield Dunlop. Award recipients are chosen and recognized during International Women's Week (March 4-10).

Ara & Talin are two of a total of 325 women and girls that have now been recognized across Ontario for their exceptional community involvement since the awards inception in 2006.
