VIGO -Motorists are advised that Vigo Road will be under construction, but still open to traffic, beginning the week of May 7.

The surface rehabilitation of Vigo Road will slow traffic on the 7km stretch between Flos Road Four West and County Road 92. Drivers are encouraged to avoid this route, or ensure they have adequate travel time through this area. Work on the road should wrap up in July.

Construction involves pulverizing the existing surface treatment, blending and stabilizing of the road base, gravel application and grading. Georgian Paving will be the general contractor for the gravel works, while Miller Paving will apply the surface treatment once the road is completed.
