(STAFF) -- Several golfers from the Georgian Bay area put in good efforts at the Ontario Men's Champion of Champions title at Beach Grove Golf and Country Club in Windsor on Wednesday, including Barrie's Daley Byles who finished in a tie for eighth place.

Byles, a member at the Barrie Country Club, shot a 1-over.

Collingwood's Michael Jackson, a member at the Georgian Bay Club, finished in a tie for 14th spot after shooting 3-over.

Orillia's John Murphy Jr., a member at Couchiching Golf and County Club, finished in a tie for 23rd spot after shooting 6- over. Just behind him, in a tie for 26th spot, was Midland's Jamie Peden, a member at the Midland Golf and Country Club, after shooting a 7-over.

Rounding out the local results were Collingwood's Kurt Wilson, a Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club member, in a tie for 38th spot after shooting a 10-over, and Stan Kukla, also from Collingwood, in a tie for 50th place after shooting a 15-over. Kukla is a member at Cranberry Golf Club.
