Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released its Fiber Optic Digital Transceiver Module, which is specially designed to support transmission of video over one optical fiber. This transceiver is widely used in closed-circuit TV (CCTV) monitoring systems and intelligent transportation systems and ensures proper system operation in complex electromagnetic environments.
This digital video transceiver module, model GFS128, incorporates an indicator LED for monitoring of system operations at any given time. It uses 10-bit/20MHz sampling technology for digital encoding of video and is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video formats. The optical, all-digital, high-speed synchronous transmission channel ensures the high quality of video signal transmission. The transceiver's hot-pluggable design and wide dynamic range provides convenience for installation, maintenance and operation. The transceiver is available in either stand-alone or rack mount card versions and requires no electrical or optical adjustments in field operations.
